Tacos al pastor are a popular Mexican street food that originated in Mexico City. They consist of thinly sliced pork that has been marinated in a mixture of spices, pineapple, and chili peppers, giving it a unique and flavorful taste. The meat is traditionally cooked on a vertical rotisserie, similar to shawarma or doner kebab, which was introduced to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants. Once cooked, the meat is shaved off and served on small corn tortillas, often topped with pineapple, onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. The combination of savory, spicy, and sweet flavors makes tacos al pastor a delicious and iconic Mexican dish.
It is a journey of one hour and a half around to get there, under a safe road highway.

I canât say enough good things about the Chichen Itza Tour â we had an amazing time! We did not rush at all. Everything was planned to be gone all day, as it was a long but comfortable drive through a safe toll road. It was a hot day, but we enjoyed it so much. Antonio was easygoing and the Cenote was crystal clear, providing us with an amazing background of nature. He gave us some tips for local food nothing to say but also so delicious. We recommend to everyone!
